How to play

INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE GAME LISTING

Merge numbers and try to reach 7. Move numbers to the board. 3 or more of the same connected numbers merge into a bigger number.

03

Easy steps for beginners

Think of Reach 7 like this:

  1. Slide all the tiles in one direction at a time - up, down, left or right.
  2. Two tiles with the SAME number join together when they touch.
  3. Two 2s make a 4. Two 4s make an 8. Keep going.
  4. A new tile appears after every move, so the board fills up.
  5. Make the target tile before you run out of space.

In one sentence: Slide and merge tiles so they add up to the target number.

04

Your goal & how to win

TARGET
Slide and merge tiles so they add up to the target number.
WIN
Reach the target tile - usually 2048 or the goal shown on the board.

SCORING: Usually the largest tile you reach, plus moves and time.

Milestones to aim for while you learn:

  • Keep your highest tile in one corner and never move away from it unnecessarily.
  • Use only two directions most of the time, for example left and down.
05

Controls & buttons

  • Mouse click or tap to play - most zbani games work with both mouse and touch
  • Most games on zbani.com work on a computer with a mouse and also on a phone or tablet with taps and swipes, so you can play either way.
06

Skills to practice

These are suggested skills to practice while playing, not a promise of improved memory, learning, or school performance.

Reach 7 trains several mental skills at the same time. Here is what each one does and why it is worth playing:

  • Number sense - you build a real feeling for how numbers grow by doubling.
  • Planning - you have to keep the biggest tile in a corner and defend it.
  • Consequence thinking - you learn that one greedy move can block everything.
  • Pattern building - you spot the order in a messy board.

Why it is good for kids in particular:

  • The rules are short and the feedback is instant, so young players stay motivated and build confidence quickly.
  • Every round is short, which fits into a school break without losing focus.
  • It is a screen skill that transfers off the screen: reading instructions, counting, planning and spotting mistakes all show up in everyday tasks.
07

Tips & strategies

  • Keep your highest tile in one corner and never move away from it unnecessarily.
  • Use only two directions most of the time, for example left and down.
  • Merge small tiles before making new ones - finish the top row first.
  • When the board gets tight, clear the row above your biggest tile.
  • Play a few rounds before you try to be clever. Learn the simple rhythm first; the advanced tricks only work once the basics are automatic.
  • If you keep losing at the same point, that point is your training goal.
  • Short daily practice beats one long session, and it is how the real skills (planning and control) actually improve.
08

Friendly challenges

Keep challenges friendly and free. No money, purchases, or prizes are needed to enjoy the game.

zbani.com games are free and there is no real-money wagering here. If you play with friends, these are the fair, fun challenges people use:

  • Friendly challenge: reach the target tile without ever moving up.
  • Friendly challenge: reach the target in under 1000 moves.
  • Friendly challenge: play with the board rotated 90 degrees - harder to read.
  • Friendly challenge: two-player race to the target tile.
  • If you do bet something, bet a real-world thing: the loser makes tea, the loser chooses the next game, the loser does the washing up.
  • Play-money only, and never bet money you cannot afford to lose.
09

Reward & badge ideas

Ideas for the future. The stars, badges, and Best Player board described below are proposals. They are not currently awarded or tracked by zbani.com.

Stars. Earn stars for playing well in Reach 7:

  • Stars are based on level, score and how few hints you used.
  • Stars are kept on your profile, so you can see your total growing over time rather than only your best single round.

Badges to collect:

  • 2048 - reach the 2048 tile
  • 4096 - reach the 4096 tile
  • No Up - complete a game without moving up
  • Efficient - reach 2048 in under 1000 moves
  • Clean Sweep - finish a round without losing a life
  • Speed Star - finish under the target time
  • Combo Master - reach a 10x multiplier
  • Comeback Kid - win from last place or lowest score
  • Daily Player - play 7 days in a row

The Best Player board for Reach 7:

  • The top scores and best times for Reach 7 are listed on a 'Best Player' board for that game, so there is always a target to aim at.
  • Beating your own score is the first milestone. Beating someone else on the board is the second. Both are worth celebrating.
  • Board spots should reset when the game is updated or the difficulty changes, so the ranking always means something.

Reward idea for a family or class:

  • Collect 10 stars for a sticker, 50 stars for a real reward, and 200 stars for 'Game Master of the Month'. Kids remember the badge far longer than the score, and it rewards steady practice instead of one lucky round.

Can I play on a phone?

Yes - the games run in a normal web browser and respond to taps and swipes as well as mouse and keyboard.

Will there be adverts?

About this guide

Sections 1, 2, 4, 5 and 11 come from the official Reach 7 game pages on zbani.com. Sections 3, 6, 7, 8 and 9 are written by a helper tool from the official description and the kind of game it is: they are guidance for players, not official rules from the publisher.

Sections 8 and 9 describe friendly challenges and a rewards idea for a family, class or community. zbani.com does not run real-money betting, and the 'Best Player' board described here is a suggestion for a leaderboard, not an existing zbani.com feature.

Word count of this card: about 1286 words.
